Pam Johnson, PTA

Pam joined the Pittman Physical Therapy team in November of 2007. She has been married to David for 29 years and together they have two grown and married sons. She graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Science Education in 1982, the year her first son was born. She stayed as a stay at home mom for 18 years until 2002 when she completed her collegiate goal at Southwest Tennessee Community College, graduating from the Physical Therapy Assistant program with honors in 2004. She initially worked in a long-term care facility in the outpatient department. She decided to join the team after undergoing therapy for her own herniated lumbar disc. She has made us smile ever since as our poster child.

Laura Wand, PTA

Laura grew up in Chicago and moved to Collierville her Sophomore year in high school. After graduating from Houston High she continued her education at Middle Tennessee State University where she changed her major early on from Physical Therapy to Industrial and Organizational Psychology. In 2007 she earned her degree in I/O Psych but a few years later moved back to Memphis to return to school and pursue her love for the health, wellness, and the human body.

Upon moving to Memphis, Laura joined Faction Strength and Conditioning where she fell in love with Crossfit. This interest in fitness only added enhanced the learning process about movement and how the body worked as she went through the Physical Therapy Assistant Program. After being injured in a car wreck in the middle of her clinical rotation while here at Pittman, she rehabed with us, then graduated from the Physical Therapy Assistant program with Honors from Southwest Tennessee Community College in July 2014. Upon Graduation Laura joined our team part-time and has also been working PRN for several different PT clinics around the Memphis area.
